to Red Dawg's Rhodesian Ridgeback's website. We
are located in Gilbert, Arizona. Over 40 years ago here in Arizona, when I was a little girl, my
father brought home our first family dog, a Ridgeback girl named Dutchess.... and
a few years later a second ridgeback named Lady joined our family. I've been in love with
the breed ever since. I've been showing and
breeding AKC Rhodesian Ridgebacks here
in Arizona for over 18 years. I'm an
exhibitorat AKC Purebred
Dog Shows, and help with Arizona Ridgeback Rescue. I'm a founding member and President of
the Arizona Rhodesian Ridgeback Club. I'm also a proud member of Kachina
Kennel Club, an Arizona All-Breed AKC club.

Rhodesian Ridgeback is a large, handsome, muscular hound. Its
name describes its most unique characteristic, a clearly defined symmetrical ridge running the length of its back, formed by hair that grows in the opposite directionfrom the rest of its coat. The short, sleek
coat comes
in light to dark wheaten, sometimes
with small white markings on the chest and feet. The head is long, the skull is flat and broad with extremely powerful muzzle and jaw." AKC .
